Cele doua discuri ceramice din interior aluneca unul peste altul sau o bila ceramica se depaleseaza, permitand sau blocand trecerea apei ori reglarea presiunii ei. Cartusul interior este prevazut cu filtre care trebuie curatate sau inlocuite periodic. Deoarece cartusele difera de la un producator la altul, trebuie avut atentie, pentru ca la inlocuire trebuie cumparata aceeasi marca, pentru a se potrivi la bateria achizitonata. EcoSmart: Tehnologie pentru dusurile si robinetele Hansgrohe, consuma cu pana la 60% mai putina apa decat produsele conventionale. Mai mult, consumul redus de apa calda reduce necesarul de energie. Rezulta, mai putine emisii de dioxid de carbon si costuri mai mici. Asadar, EcoSmart este bun atat pentru mediu cat si pentru costuri.Cum functioneaza? Prin adaugarea de aer si prin utilizarea unui limitator de debit special. Aeratorul EcoSmart este incorporat in canalul de la robinetul bazinului si imbogateste apa cu aer. Dn 15 : diametrul nominal al racordului pe interior este de 15 mm
